(i)providing scholarships to be known as centenary scholarships to meet or contribute towards the fees payable to the school on behalf of pupils who have passed the school's entrance examination (ii)providing financial assistance on behalf of pupils in receipt of a centenary scholarship who (a)would not without such financial assistance be able to attend (i)field trips as directed by syllabuses for public examinations, or (ii)educational visits which in the opinion of the headmistress of the school are conducive to the education of the pupil and are appropriate to the curriculum of the school or (b) would without such financial assistance experience hardship in respect of the expense of travelling to or from school the purchase of items of school uniform or the purchase of school meals.
