(1)to relieve sickness and preserve health whether mental or physical among persons in need or who are aged or in distress by the provision of medical or other care and equipment within the county of berkshire and elsewhere. (2)the advancement of education in such manner and for such purposes as the trustees think fit with a view to benefitting the general public with particular emphasis on research collation dissemination of information in medicine and other developments which assist in the understanding treatment of illnesses diseases ailments affecting individuals both physically mentally and spiritually any other matter which in the opinion of the trustees would promote or assist the relief of persons in conditions of hardship distress pain and suffering or who are aged or sick and the training of people in the medical profession or any other field which the trustees think appropriate and by any means which the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit.
