"1) the fostering and encouragement of participation in sport by disabled children of school age in the west midlands regardless of aptitude or talent, thereby assisting in the relief of the disabilities of such children and in particular ( but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing ) to assist the achievement of such aims by the establishment and promotion of the annual sports championship for teams of such persons, to be known as ""the west midlands special schools team championship"" thereby encouraging a greater number of disabled children to take up sport as a means of relieving or overcoming their disabilities and to assist in their development towards leading as normal a life as may be possible. 2) to provide facilities and sports equipment for the use of such disabled children and generally to facilitate the establishment of such a championship in whatever manner as the trustees seem appropriate. 3) to apply funds towards other charitable purposes."
