"for or towards the promotion of the education of physically disabled students at the university of cambridge cambridge and anglia polytechnic in cambridge (whether undergraduate or postgraduate research students or student teachers and irrespective of whatever course is undertaken) primarily but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing for residents of the hostel known as ""bridget's"" tennis court road cambridge (or such other hostel established for the use of disabled members of the said university or polytechnic) and in particular (a)the promotion of the increase of the knowledge understanding and appreciation of such persons of any matters historic artistic architectural aesthetic cultural sociological or scientific wherever in the world as canparticularly be obtained by travel and international exchange (b)in awarding on whatever terms the trustees think fit to such persons grants or maintenance allowances to enable them to further their education (in connection with their specific subject or subjects or otherwise) oe engage in voluntary service by travel within the united kingdom or elsewhere in the world (c)in providing other financial assistance clothing equipment books or other aids to enable such persons to travel as described above (d)in providing where necessary grants or maintenance allowances towards costs incurred by such persons by their requiring because of their disability to have in connection with their travels the assistance of nurses and other necessary helpers (e)in otherwise furthering the education of such persons and the relief whilst attending the said university or polytechnic of their physical disability by any method which shall be recognised as charitable provided that the trustees may at their absolute discretion for the period of twenty-one years from the date of this deed instead of applying the income of the charity in any year accumulate all or any part of such income at compound interest by investing the same and the resulting income in any of the authorised investments and hold the same as an accretion to and as part of the capital of the charity without prejudice to their right to apply the whole or any part of such accumulated income in any subsequent year as if the same were income of the charity arising in the then current year."
