to promote the relief of all people with a disability or mental need within high peak and district and to assist those persons to overcome the barriers attendant upon their disability by the provision of a service calculated; 1) to assist a person with a disability or mental health need to obtain his or her full rights and privileges as a citizen. 2) to provide long term personal friendship and support. 3) to provide advice on a one to one basis to people with a disability or mental health need in high peak and district whether living in residential care or residing independently in their own homes or with relatives.
