Objects:

to promote the benefit of inhabitants of central manchester and neighbouring districts and in particular but not exclusively such inhabitants as are elderly and have african-carribbean ancestry with the objects of (1) advancing the education and promoting the physical and mental health of such beneficiaries (2) relieving need, hardship and distress among such beneficiaries and relieving aged and sick beneficiaries (3) promoting the mental and physical health of such beneficiaries and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for such beneficiaries (4) working towards the elimination of the treatment of members of the community less favourably than other members of the community on grounds of colour, race, nationality or ethnic or national origins and to promote equality of opportunity between persons of different racial groups generally.
