to promote the relief of all persons with a learning difficulty within the area of elmbridge borough council and to assist those persons to realise their full potential to lead fulfilling lives by the provision of a service (known as advocacy) which will : 1. assist a person with learning difficulty to obtain his or her full rights and privileges as a citizen; 2. provide long-term personal friendship and support; 3. provide advice and support on a one to one basis to persons with learning difficulties; provide community based drop in centres and workshops; whether those persons live in residential care or reside independently in their own homes or with relatives.
