to alleviate the conditions, congenital or acquired of deficiency in or impairment of normal organic function of the body including sensory perception of effectiveness and motor capability: 1) undertaking research into, promoting and taking part in the application of current and leading edge technology relating to cybernetics, microcomputing and biotechnology. 2) undertaking the design of appliances of permanent use or for use in periods of rehabilition following such deficiency or impairment including internally sited metering, monitoring and continuous analysis implants and external alternative implementations of synthectic speech and complex multifunction prostheses. 3) publishing the results of such research and design in the public domain provided that the trustees may in their absolute discretion postpone any such publication to facilitate a sale or licensing or other disposal of any relevant intellectual property belonging to the charity and arising from the research and development carried out under sub clause 1 and 2 hereof.
