Objects:
(1)to educate children and young people, especially but not exclusively through their leisure time activities so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities and skills in order to enable them to achieve their full potential and to grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society to enable them to make a positive contribution within the company as a whole. (2)to provide or assist in the provision of facilities, training and other opportunities for the recreation and any other leisure time occupation, and further, for education in interpersonal and practical skills, for children and young people who have a need for such facilities by reason of their youth, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances and, in particular, giving priority to those who are resident in the london borough of barking and dagenham and who have come to the attention of education, health or police authorities, or other agencies as being in need of support especially by reason of their history or delinquency or truancy, and in order that such children and young people may achieve these aims in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life, regardless of their ethnic origin, sex, religious affiliation or handicap.
