Objects:
(1)to educate individuals about contemporary and historic design and crafts and the application of the principles of design in manufacture and in particular to arrange and hold exhibitions of work by contemporary designers and craftsmen and craftswomen; (11)to educate individuals who have or are contemplating having a career in design and crafts or similar or related fields about information technology, accounting, legal, marketing, business, management and administrative skills generally and in particular by running courses of lectures and seminars and to provide grants to such individuals who are in financial need to attend courses of lectures and seminars; (111)to enable individuals in financial need and in full time education to attend exhibitions by contemporary designers or craftsmen or craftswomen which are relevant to their course of study; (1v)to promote crafts and design for the benefit of the general public and in particular to give grants to talented individuals in financial need who are either in full time education or who are unemployed to enable them to purchase equipment for the purpose of undertaking the design or craft at which such individuals excel and to arrange and hold exhibitions of work by contemporary designers and craftsmen and craftswomen.
