the trustees shall hold the trust fund on trust to apply the income and (if and in so far as they think fit)the capital (a) in advancing education and undertaking research in the field of immunology and especially reproductive immunology and in particular(but not exclusively) by the establishment funding and support of a lectureship with preference being given to a lectureship in reproductive immunology at st. mary's hospital or elsewhere (b) in assisting couples by subsidising the provision of treatment for recurrnt miscarriages at st mary's hospital or elsewhere and (c) in furtherance and application of medical research generally.
