to protect and preserve health amongst persons who are mentally ill or have had a mental illness,and the carers of such persons through the provision of self help and support in a safe and caring environment by: (a) offering support to persons who suffer or have suffered some degree of mentall illness,distress or breakdown and their carers;(b) offering activities such as relaxation,drama,therapy and keep fit in order to recover self-confidence and reduced stress in members lives;(c) offering outings and walks through beautiful countryside at weekends with subsidised transport to and from the venue;(d) offering subsidised swimming in a group;(e) offering different types of games including (but not limited to)darts,table tennis,cards and chess;(f)offering persons suffering from mental illness the chance to cook for themselves or each other in a group;(g) offering a variety of handicrafts and the opportunity to acquire new skills;(h) offering music therapy to encourage self-expression;(i)providing an environment that will encourage the personal growth and development of persons suffering from mental illness.
