1.to relieve the mental and physical distress of members of the public who have been victims of sexual, physical, mental and other abuse by professionals working in health care and social work in particular but not exclusively by the provision of information, advocacy, and support services 2.to advance the education of the public and professionals about the existence of different abusive practices by the professionals, including sexual, physical and mental abuse, and the treatment of those who have been so abused by: (a)the provision of a reference and resource library, and (b)the provision of seminars and workshops.
