to assist students from the dame alice owen's school, potters bar, in the county of hertfordshire at or about to proceed to university and who are studying foreigh languages giving a preference to those studying the russian, chinese or spanish languages and preferably witha view to enabling such students to further their studies of such languages by travel while at or prior to proceeding to a university or within a period of five years after leaving a university and also to assist senior boys or girls at the school who are studying languages to travel overseas duting the school holidays provided that if for any reason the company is unable to supply the income for any of the aforesaid purposes it may use such income for such purposes other than general maintenance connected with the said school as the court of the company may from time to time determine.
