the objects for which the association is established are: principally, but not exclusively, for the benefit of any bengali, wherever in the world he or she may be residing, with special reference, but not exclusively, for bengalis residing within the london borough of waltham forest, for the purpose of carrying out such of the following purposes as are charitable. (1) the relief of poverty, deprivation and distress among bengalis (11) the advancement of education among bengalis and the provision of financial assistance for their education and of their dependants. (111) the relief of sickness and the protection of health among bengalis. (1v) the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure occupations for bengalis in the interests of social welfare within the meaning of the recreational charities act 1958 and as limited in that act.
