to provide bursaries to individuals who have trained or are training as journalists or who carry on the profession of journalism and who permanently reside in any of the following countries, namely: albania, austria, belgium, belorussia, bulgaria, bosnia-herzegovina, croatia, czech republic, denmark, estonia, finland, france, germany, greece, iceland, ireland, italy, latvia, lichtenstein, lithuania, luxembourg, macedonia, netherlands, norway, poland, portugal, romania, slovak republic, solvenia, spain, sweden, switzerland, ukraine, yugoslavia, or any other country from time to time nominated by the trustees, to enable them to further their education and to improve their professional skills as journalists by working temporarily in the united kingdom for the publisher of the economist newspaper or the publisher of the financial times newspaper or, if both newspapers cease permanently to be published or both publishers are unwilling to employ any such individual, any magazine or other newspaper published in the united kingdom, the main purpose of which is to provide information about financial and economical affairs, as the trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion determine
