[a] i. the objects of the trust are the raising of jewish knowledgment , commitment and involvement among jewish children ( mainly between the ages of 11 to 18 inclusive) and the promoting of positive images of jews and judaism among all children within this age range and their teachers. [ii] in particular but without prejudice to the generality of clause 4[a][1] hereof and in pursuance thereof to inform jewish and non- jewish children about jewish life, religion and culture by: [a] visiting schools, sixth form colleges and part-time centres, addressing school assemblies, jewish assemblies, jewish societies, classes, debating societies, sixth- form liberal studies session and similar educational settings.[b] teaching, discussing, demonstrating and similar educational activities such as staging drama productions on jewish themes and conducting visits to places of jewish interest.[c] commissioning personnel to teach, run jewish assemblies, societies and conduct similar activities and remunerating such persons for their services.[d] celebrating jewish calendar events and life - cycle events. [e] encouraging schools, colleges and part-time centres to buy jewish books, software, artifacts and other resources for their libraries, classes and resource banks and advising on same. [f] organising competitions such as an inter-school jewish knockout quiz. [g] providing a journal to which children can contribute articles and letters so as to link them across different schools, colleges or part-time centres. [h] arranging and providing for or joining in arranging and providing for the holding of exhibitions and/or meetings. [i] conducting lectures at teachers' training colleges and other centres. [j] conducting in-service training sessions for practising teachers. [k] training rabbis and lay volunteers [l] linking rabbis, lay volunteers and selected jewish organisations/projects with schools, sixth form colleges and part-time centres. [m] offering a varied range of jewish extra-mural activities. [n] liaison with other relevant jewish organisations. [o] encouraging jewish children to participate in the activities of relevant jewish organisations. [p] encouraging children to take part in synagogue life. [q] getting jewish children involved with israel as a focus for building jewish identity and/ or commitment. [r] arranging holidays and conducting educational tours for jewish children, particularly in israel. [s] producing , publishing and distributing jewish educational materials, and commissioning people to do same, for the use of persons and/or organisations undertaking activities on behalf of the trustees and also, where appropriate, as a source of revenue.
