"for the public benefit in eastern europe and elsewhere to advance education in law commerce economics and other subjects by (1) furthering such of the activities of the international development law institute (""idli"" - an international intergovernmental non-profit organisation whose headquarters is based in rome italy) as are exclusively charitable and which may advance education including support for idli's training technical assistance and research in the fields of law commerce and economics on both national and international scales (2) advancing the education of lawyers legal advisers advocates judges and others involved in the study and practise of law both nationally and internationally in legal skills legal knowledge and practical expertise (3) carrying out for the public benefit in the united kingdom and elsewhere research of an academic or useful nature into existing and developing legal systems including (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) the effect of tax fiscal economic and financial policies and the law both domestic and international on the living standards and economic well-being of countries with economies in transition and their impact on the trade and economy of the united kingdom and elsewhere and their effect on the living standards of all sections of the community in the united kingdom and elsewhere and to publish and disseminate for the public benefit the results of such research to the general public (as well as to professional scholars and policy-makers) both in the united kingdom and elsewhere."
