"a) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of twerton and the neighbourhood together without distinction of race, age, political, religious, sex, sexual orientation or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.b) to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre or centres (in particular at twerton village hall, bath) and to maintain and manage the same as a village hall (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) and permit the same to be used for such charitable purposes as may be decided by the trustees. the trustees shall hold the trust premises upon trust (a) as to the portion now used as the village hall (hereinafter called ""the hall"") to permit the same to be used for holding meetings of a religious charitable or social nature and for such other purposes as shall be from time to time approved by the vicar for the time being of the said parish and (b) as to the portion of the trust premises now used as a club institute and as reading class lecture and recreation rooms (hereinafter called ""the institute"") upon heretofore under the management and control of the committee of the institute now in existence or any committee (hereinafter called ""the institute committee"") and for such other purposes as the institute committee shall from time to time prescribe by resolution."
