to advance education through the provision of an independent day and boarding school known as king's school, bruton or such other school as the board of governors shall determine and to maintain its tradition of christian education. to advance the education of boys and girls by the provision of a day and boarding school in or near the parish of bruton the objects of the cio are the promotion of education through the creation of scholarships or bursaries to be awarded to a child living within the boundaries of the parish of bruton, somerset or a child of a former pupil of king's school bruton to enable them to be educated at king's school bruton, somerset or any successors in such ways as the charity trustees may from time to time think fit.
