"to: (1) display, conserve, and explain within the hermitage rooms at somerset house in london and elsewhere artefacts of artistic significance, antiquity or historical importance or interest, which (a) are drawn from the collections of the state hermitage museum of st petersburg (""the hermitage""); or (b) illustrate russia or russian art, culture and history in all or any of its aspects; and (2) assist and support the hermitage in the performance of its activities as a museum and as a scientific, research, cultural and educational institution including projects of reconstruction and renovation; and (3) conduct educational activities designed to further knowledge and understanding of the subjects and activities referred to in these objects for public benefit; and (4) undertake such other exclusively charitable objects as may from time to time be determined."
