1. to promote the sound administration of the law by providing or assisting in the provision of legal advice and representation to citizens of the european union who have been charged with or accused of criminal acts and who are in need and who allege that there has been a failure to comply with the due process of the law in the country concerned. due process of the law shall mean:-(a) the domestic law of the country concerned including international treaty obligations where those obligations give rise to justiciable rights recognised in that country; (b) recognised or customary practices followed by the country concerned; 2. to promote education in and conduct research into the sound administration of the law making the useful results of such research available to the public.
