Objects:
(a) to relieve and support patients and former patients of michael sobell house; (b) to relieve the distress of the carers, dependants and families of such patients or of deceased patients; (c) to support the work of michael sobell house by any means that are charitable but in particular by the provision of services and facilities for patients, former patients, carers, dependants, families and staff; (d) to support research into palliative care and to disseminate the results of such research and to promote education in palliative care; (e) to educate the public in the needs of the patients of michael sobell house and to mobilise, encourage, foster and maintain the interest and support of the public in the said michael sobell house; (f) to supplement the service provided by michael sobell house for the health, welfare and comfort of the patients and their families therein, by the provision of staff, services, facilities, buildings, office space and equipment which may be required for the treatment of such patients, or for the efficient running of michael sobell house and the charity; (g) to provide, or assist in the provision of, amenities in maichael sobell house for patients, their families and staff, including the provision and running of hospital shops, the establishment of clubs, health and recreation centres, hostels and rest and convalescent homes for the use and benefit of such persons.
