to relieve the sickness of persons suffering from heart valve disease or any other cardiac disease, illness, or condition, and to advance public education in the causes, diagnosis and treatment of such diseases, illnesses and conditions through the advancement of the practice, science and art of treating heart valve disease through a multidisciplinary approach with the ultimate aim of reducing the global burden of the disease.
