to promote the advancement of education for the public benefit, in particular by:a) promoting the development and accreditation of learning programmes, particularly for those people who have previously been excluded from educational opportunities, throughout south west wales and ceredigion;b) promoting widening participation in education and training and lifelong learning through a framework of credit.c) improving the quality and flexibility of educational provision.d) promoting improvement in the educational welfare of learners through the award of credit and credit based qualifications to improve access to learning opportunities and facilitate progression to further learning, employment and higher education.
