1. the charity is established, for the public benefit, specifically to: 1.1. relieve poverty and sickness and mental suffering of carers by:(a) the provision of support for carers, (b) the establishment of carers? centres, (c) the provision of respite services by community-based support workers, (d) the provision of such support workers for the elderly, disabled or chronically sick people living alone, at the discretion of the trustees.1.2. advance education concerning caring amongst carers and the public.for the purposes of this clause a ?carer` is a person of any age, who provides unpaid support to family or friends, who could not cope without this help. this could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.
