to relieve poverty, suffering and distress and prevent disease and ill health among the people of haiti and other such countries of need. to relieve children who are in need of a home by the provision of orphanages and the renovation, re-equipment and maintenance of existing homes and orphanages for such children. to educate the public concerning the nature, causes and effects of distress, hardship and want of welfare as aforesaid.
