(i) to conserve for the public benefit the area known as the cricklade country way by the protection and enhancement of the local environments through restoration of ancient hedgerows, rivers and ponds, woodland creation and management, provision of public access and creation of public paths and cycleways and to support and enable the restoration of historic canals and railways and in such other ways as the trustees shall think fit.(ii) to secure funding and support together with the use of other resources to achieve strategic aims;(iii) to encourage and secure the support of all relevant parties including the commercial sector, interest groups and local authorities, with a view to maximising resource inputs; and(iv) to create a membership scheme which extends beyond local authority control to enable the trust to become an independent organisation.
