(a) to relieve those persons who are diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders by the provision of support, advice, information and assistance to those individuals with autistic spectrum disorders, their families and carers and associated professionals(b) to increase public awareness regarding the difficulties and circumstances of people with autistic spectrum disorders and their families and carers and to encourage acceptance within the community
