the relief of the charitable needs of persons suffering from bereavement or of persons in the following situations: persons facing trauma; persons with life-threatening conditions such as hiv and cancer; persons who suffer from depression or suicidal thoughts; persons involved in major disasters or national crises; in particular (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) by:a. giving support throught selected and prepared volunteers and counsellors to people in the above categories, especially those who have no family or friends or who are otherwise isolated in the community;b. assisting bereaved people through their period of mourning and to encourage acceptance of loss and readjustment, and to help them in the rebuilding of links with the community;c. establishing and maintaining a group of persons who are selected, trained and sustained by the charity to counsel those in the above categories;d. providing training and counselling skills to other charitable bodies; and e. increasing awareness of the nature of grieving and bereavement.
