the advancement, in mid-devon, of public education in matters concerning interpersonal relationship skills, with a view to developing personal responsibilities and strengthening and enriching family life in such ways as the trustees from time to time think fit and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing1) by developing long term cultural changes to raise public awareness of the importance of life skills and thus promoting better relationships in the community generally;2) by offering every couple in respect of marriage preparation, a short course that gives them help with such issues as communication, conflict resolution, agreeing personal values and budgeting;3) by giving on-going support for marriage, including, but not exclusively through marriage, mentoring, step family support and specialist sources of help when needed;4) by conducting dialogue with local schools and post 16 education, to help children and adults to learn life-skills and values to empower them to make better relationship decisions;5) by initiating parenting networks so that every parent has the opportunity of relevant parenting for baby to toddler stages, including, but not exclusively through primary school and early teenage years;6) by creating a directory of support services for couples in difficulty, and families in crisis, so that people are enabled to know where they can go to obtain help with their relationship;
