1. to provide relief to those suffering from m.e which is taken to include the following medical conditions:a) myalgic encephalopathy or encephalomyelitis (me),b) chronic fatigue syndrome (cfs),c) postviral fatigue syndrome (pvfs) andd) fibromyalgia syndrome (fms).2. to provide information, advice and support, to such persons, their carers, families, friends and health workers through the provision of meetings, social events, newsletters, a helpline, and a website.3. to educate the caring and medical professions, the social service agencies, and the public about the nature and effects of the illness.4. to educate the general public through the promotion and dissemination of knowledge about the illnesses described in clause c (1).5. to advance research in the cause and treatment.
