Objects:
the advancement of education by the provision and conduct of a school in or near tonbridge for boys as boarders and, if the governors think fit, as day boys, and by ancillary or incidental educational activities and other associated activities for the benefit of the community in the award of annual prizes at tonbridge school in such manner and for such purposes as the governors shall, upon the recommendation of the head, from time to time decide; provided that in the award of prizes the governors shall, so far as practicable, attach the names of the original donors to the various emoluments and shall have regard to the promotion of the objects specified by the said donors. to further the education of pupils entering, attending or who have attended, the school by:1) the award of grants (which may the form of scholarships, exhibitions or bursaries) to pupils attending the school; and2) the provision of financial assistance to former pupils undertaking a course of further or higher education; and3) the provision of financial assistance to pupils or former pupils undertaking a wholly educational expedition. if and in so far as the clear income of the charity cannot be applied in accordance with the existing trusts, the trustee of the charity may apply the same in advancing the education of boys currently attending tonbridge school to enable them to prepare for or make their career in any branch of engineering or other technological discipline. the support of former pupils of tonbridge school support of current and former pupils of tonbridge school
