Objects:

(a) to promote the conservation of the physical and natural environment by promoting biological diversity, with particular reference to the forests of south america; and(b) to promote the advancement of education through supporting original research in the sciences of zoology, botany, ornithology, entomology, mammalology and environmental science in the neotropics and through the promotion and dissemination of knowledge and research findings in these fields of study.
