to promote the benefit and relieve the charitable needs of persons within the uk who are disabled by:(1) assisting and supporting regional and national organisations working on disability-related issues;(2) increasing the understanding of the problems of disability and social exclusion through education and encouraging inclusion in its fullest sense between disabled and non-disabled members of the community;(3) providing a means of consultation and joint action among voluntary and statutory organisations concerned with social and economic inclusion of all disabled people through civil dialogue at both united kingdom and european union level.
