a) the advancement of education by providing 'english as additional language' (eal) courses to targeted members of the ethnic minority community, refugees and asylum seekers (hereafter referred to as members of this community) in order to enhance their employment and further education prospects.b) the relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment and in particular by providing training to equip the beneficiaries with vocational skills and providing training in information technology (it) skills thereby enabling members of this community to diversify their skills and integrate more easily in a computerised society.c) the advancement of citizenship or community development by providing interpreting and translation services to members of this community who are occasionally in need of such services because of their inadequate english language skills.d) to act as a resource centre for members of this community to access important information concerning their day to day lives.e) to promote and protect the health of members of this community through the promotion of support, education and practical advice.f) to assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of young members of this community by providing them with community based sports, music, drama and cultural activities.
