to relieve children suffering from cancer and leukaemia (including tumours) and the families of such children by such charitable means as the trustees see fit, in particular but not exclusively by:(a) granting financial aid to those children and the families of those children who have been referred to the regional paediatric oncology unit, wherever that may be situated from time to time; and/or(b) supporting, maintaining and developing specialist medical care afforded or referred to by the said unit by means of financial aid or otherwise for the benefit of those children referred to the said oncology unit.
