Objects:
the trustees shall hold the income of the trust fund upon trust to pay or apply it in such a manner as they from time to time think fit in furtherance of all of any of the following purposes:3.1.1 in promoting the education of young women who are in need of financial assistance preference being given to such girls and young women who are daughters (including adopted daughters step-daughters or other female children of the family) of freemasons under the united grand lodge of antient free and accepted masons of england and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing(a) in awarding to such persons scholarships exhibitions bursaries maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any school university college of education or other institution of further education including professional or technical education approved for the purpose by the trustees(b) in providing financial assistance outfits clothing tools instruments or books to assist such persons to pursue their education (including the study of music and other arts) to undertake travel in furtherance thereof or to prepare for or enter into a profession trade occupation or service on leaving school university or other educational establishment3.1.2 in assisting young women who are in need of financial assistance and who are preparing for entering upon or engaged in any profession trade occupation or service by providing them with outfits or by paying travelling or maintenance expenses or by such other means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their living as the trustees think fit3.1.3 the like objects as in sub-clauses 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 above but in relation to boys and young men with (for the avoidance of doubt) the like extension to the meaning of sons of freemasons under the united grand lodge of antient free and accepted masons of england as for the daughters provided that preference may be given for girls and young women to the exclusion of boys and young men.
