to promote the welfare and independence of people with impaired mobility and other disabilities, within and around the town of alfreton and in the wider areas of derbyshire and nottingham, by:a) promoting the needs of disabled people and the duties of shopkeepers and service providers, as well as working with other groups and organisations to improve the local built environment and attitudinal environment.b) promoting the needs of disabled people and the need for a mobility service.c) campaigning for funding for services to meet the needs of disabled people.d) assisting in the establishment of a service provider charged with the task of raising awareness of the needs of disabled people as well as services directly meeting their needs.e) promoting the service to the wider environment including the countryside and local parks.f) the relief of persons living in and around, or visiting, alfreton, derbyshire with restricted mobility resulting from age, sickness, disability or other causes (whether of a permanent or temporary nature) by such means as the trustees shall see fit with the aim of improving their mobility and conditions of life.
