a) to advance the education of the public regarding the principle of law and its role in promoting civil society, civil institutions, citizenship rights and responsibilities and human rights within iraq. b) the promotion of international human rights for the benefit of the public by: i) the relief of victims of human rights who are in financial or physical need including the provision of legal advice, assistance and representation to people who are unable to obtain such legal advice, assistance and representation as a result of their lack of resources; ii) advancing education in human rights whether by reaching, producing materials or by conducting and commissioning research and publishing the results of that research; iii) raising public awareness and cultivating a sentiment in favour of human rights by the use of publications, seminars and conferences, and networking with voluntary, statutory and other bodies provided that this does not extend to promoting directly a change in the law or government policy or the administrative decisions of government authorities.
