Objects:
1) to promote general charitable purposes for the benefit of the community of taunton east (the lane, lambrook and halcon estates) and to provide relief from financial hardship and social/or economic disadvantage and to advance the education of its residents of all ages; in particular to provide opportunities for these residents to participate fully in the life of their community in ways which address and alleviate social and economic disadvantage.2) the promotion for the public benefit of urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation (within the lane, lambrook and halcon estates) by the following means:3) the relief of poverty in such ways as may be thought fit;4)the relief of unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment;5) the advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience;6) the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace, buildings and/or land for use on favourable terms;7) the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities;8) the provision or assistance in the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large and/or those who, by reasons of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities;9) the provision of public health facilities and childcare;10) the promotion of public safety and prevention of crime; and 11) such other means as may from time to time be determined subject to the prior consent of the charity commissioners for england and wales.
