"the group is established to advance the education and awareness of the public about fibromyalgia syndrome (hereinafter referred to as ""fms"") and to relieve sufferers of fms in the counties of leicestershire and rutland (hereinafter called the ""are of benefit"") and in particular: (a) to foster mutual support of people suffering from gms in the area of benefit; (b) to provide information and support for fms sufferers and their families in the area of benefit including educational and recreation activities (c) to educate the public and promote knowledge in the area of benefit about the problems of those affected by fms;(d) to promote a greater understanding and awareness amongst general practitioners in the area of benefit, of fms and its effects."
