(a) to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of ethnic minorities in the east midlands (the 'area of benefit') and, in particular the advancement of education and social and economic inclusion, the preservation and protection of health, the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, the promotion of racial harmony and good practice in law and order, justice and policing in relation to said persons;(b) to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the ethnic minority community in the east midlands in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and participate more fully in society.
