to carry on, for the benefit of persons in necessitous circumstances, any convalescent home, nursing home, or home for aged or infirm persons, and in particular, those who are or have been members of the methodist local preachers mutual aid association or their dependants. (for further objects see memorandum and articles) christmas gifts to those members in receipt of aid from the association income to be paid to the methodist local preachers' mutual aid association with a view to consolidating the fellowship of those called to be local preachers and to give opportunities for the practical expression of the spirit of mutual aid and goodwill: (a) to afford financial assistance to necessitous local preachers and to necessitous widows or dependants of local preacher and (b) to establish either directly or through the medium of a body set up for that purpose, a home or homes for the treatment or care of necessitous sick, aged or infirm methodist local preachers and, subject thereto, additional eligible beneficiaries and their dependants, and for the necessitous widows, widowers or dependants of deceased methodist local preachers and, subject thereto, additional eligible beneficiaries christian worship and preaching, whether active or retired, and their widows or widowers, parents, parents in law, children and other dependants including the provision of housing, treatment, care, advice and advocacy.
