the society's objects (the objects) are throughout the world and more particular in the united kingdom and europe to promote and assist in:3.1.1 the advancement of the faith and religious practices of islam.3.1.2 the advancement of religious and general education for the public benefit including but not restricted to the study and promotion of:i. primary, secondary, college and university education;ii. knowledge and understanding of muslims and the teaching and practices of islam;iii. interfaith dialogue in order to secure understanding, tolerance, harmony and peace between muslims and non muslims;iv. the observance and maintenance of human rights in accordance with the rule of law;v. the prevention of alcohol and drugs abuse and misuse;vi. the prevention of crime including any form of terrorism;3.1.3 securing human rights for both muslims and non muslims with particular regard to but not restricted to articles 1, 9, 13 and 14 of the european convention on human rights and article 2 of the 1st protocol to the european convention on human rights and the human rights act 1998 ( or any statutory re-enactment or modification of the said convention, protocol and act) by all or any of the following means:i. encouraging respect for human rights;ii. increasing public awareness of human rights;iii. promoting the sound development of human rights law;iv. promoting the sound administration of human rights law;v. promoting the enforcement of human rights legislation in circumstances where an individual's human rights have been violated;vi. providing practical assistance to victims of human rights abuse in accordance with sub clause 3.1.8 below; andvii. promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub clause 3.1.11 below;3.1.4 establishing equality of opportunity and harmonious racial and religious relations between muslims from different ethnic and racial backgrounds and between muslims and non - muslims in order to foster mutual understanding and toleration by all or any of the following means:i. providing information and education about and for the benefit of different ethnic racial and religious groups and communities;ii. providing practical assistance in accordance with sub clause 3.1.8 below; andiii. promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub clause 3.1.11 below;3.1.5 the reduction and elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race and religion by all or any of the following means:i. providing information and education about the causes and effects of racial and religious discrimination;ii. encouraging conflict resolution and reconciliation between members of different racial and religious groups;iii. providing practical assistance to victims of acts of racial and religious discrimination in accordance with sub clause 3.1.8 below; andiv. promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub clause 3.1.11 below including but not restricted to the study and dissemination of knowledge of the problems experienced by any particular ethnic, racial, religious or national group in the united kingdom or elsewhere including research into racism and islamophobia and how they can be resolved;3.1.6 the advancement in partnership with the police, local authorities, other statuary bodies and community voluntary agencies of the protection of people and property from criminal acts by all or any of the following means:i. promoting good citizenship and public safety;ii. promoting greater public participation in the prevention and solution of crime;iii. promoting effective strategic and social crime prevention methods and measures'iv. promoting good practice within criminal justice systems in relation to such methods and measures in order to reduce crime and disorder, victimisation and the fear of crime;v. providing information and education about all aspects of strategic and social crime prevention methods and measures and solution of crime;vi. providing practical assistance to victims of criminal acts in accordance with sub clause 3.1.8 below; andvii. promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub clause 3.1.11 below;3.1.7 the advancement of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation by all or any of the following means;i. the relief of unemployment;ii. advancing education training retraining and work experience;iii. providing recreational facilities and activities in accordance with sub clause 3.1.10 below;iv. providing practical assistance in accordance with sub clause 3.1.8 below;v. promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub clause 3.1.11 below, andvi. such other means as may from time to time be determined, subject to the prior written consent of the charity commissioners;3.1.8 the relief of poverty, sickness, distress and suffering of any persons who are in need irrespective of their nationality, race, ethnic origin and religious beliefs including but not restricted to the relief of those who are the victims of:i. natural disasters including droughts, earthquakes, epidemics and floods;ii. man-made disasters including industrial accidents and wars;iii. the abuse and violation of human rights;iv. racial or religious discrimination;v. alcohol and drugs abuse and misuse;vi. crime including any form terrorism;3.1.9 to promote and assist in the rehabilitation of ex-offenders and persons affected by drug, alcohol or other substance addiction or abuse;3.1.10 the provision of recreational facilities and activities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for those persons in need of such facilities by reason of their youth age infirmity or disablement poverty or social and economic circumstances by promoting their spiritual mental physical and social well- being;3.1.11 to promote encourage or undertake organised research surveys investigations and publish the useful results thereof; and3.1.12 the advancement of such other charitable objects for the public benefit as the board of trustees may from time to time think fit.
