Objects:
"3.1 the charity's objects (""the objects"") are throughout the world and more particularly in africa and the middle east to promote and assist in:3.1.1 the advancement of general and religious education for the public benefit including but not restricted to the study and promotion of:(i) knowledge and understanding of all religions;(ii) interfaith dialogue in order to secure understanding, tolerance, harmony and peace between the followers of all religions;(iii) the observance and maintenance of human rights in accordance with the rule of law;(iv) the prevention of alcohol and drugs abuse and misuse;(v) the prevention of crime including any form of terrorism;3.1.2 securing and protecting human rights for all people by all or any of the following means:(i) encouraging respect for human rights;(ii) increasing public awareness of human rights;(iii) promoting the sound development of human rights laws;(iv) promoting greater awareness of human rights law amongst law enforcement agencies and personnel;(v) promoting the sound administration of human rights law;(vi) encouraging the signing, ratification and implementation of all international human rights conventions and treaties;(vii) encouraging the application of human rights law in negotiating the peaceful resolution of conflict whether at local, national or international level;(viii) promoting enforcement of human rights legislation in circumstances where an individual's human rights have been violated;(ix) providing practical assistance to victims of human rights abuse in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.7 below; and(x) promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.10 below;3.1.3 establishing equality of opportunity and harmonious relations between people from different ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds in order to foster mutual understanding and toleration by all or any of the following means:(i) providing information and education about and for the benefit of different ethnic, racial and religious groups and communities;(ii) providing practical assistance in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.7 below; and(iii) promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.10 below;3.1.4 the reduction and elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race and religion by all or any of the following means:(i) providing information and education about the causes and effects of racial and religious discrimination;(ii) encouraging conflict resolution and reconciliation between members of different racial and religious groups;(iii) providing practical assistance to victims of acts of racial and religious discrimination in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.8 below; and(iv) promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.10 below including the study and dissemination of knowledge of the problems experienced by any particular ethnic, racial, religious or national group including but not restricted to research into racism and religious discrimination and how they can be resolved;3.1.5 the advancement in partnership with the police, local authorities, other statutory bodies and community and voluntary agencies of the protection of people and property from criminal acts by all or any of the following means:(i) promoting good citizenship and public safety;(ii) promoting greater public participation in the prevention and solution of crime;(iii) promoting effective strategic and social crime prevention methods and measures;(iv) promoting good practice within criminal justice systems in relation to such methods and measures in order to reduce crime and disorder, victimisation and the fear of crime;(v) providing information and education about all aspects of strategic and social crime prevention methods and measures and solution of crime;(vi) providing practical assistance to victims of criminal acts in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.7 below; and(vii) promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.10 below;3.1.6 the advancement of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation by all or any of the following means:(i) the relief of unemployment;(ii) advancing education, training, retraining and work experience;(iii) providing recreational facilities and activities in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.9 below; and(iv) providing practical assistance in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.7 below;(v) promoting research and publishing the useful results thereof in accordance with sub-clause 3.1.10 below; and(vi) such other means as may from time to time be determined, subject to the prior written consent of the charity commissioners;3.1.7 the relief of poverty, sickness, distress and suffering of any persons who are in need irrespective of their nationality, race, ethnic origin and religious beliefs including but not restricted to the relief of those who are the victims of:(i) natural disasters including droughts, earthquakes, epidemics and floods;(ii) man-made disasters including industrial accidents and wars;(iii) the abuse and violation of human rights;(iv) racial or religious discrimination;(v) alcohol and drugs abuse and misuse;(vi) crime including any form of terrorism;3.1.8 to promote and assist in the rehabilitation of refugees, displaced people, ex-offenders and persons affected by drug, alcohol or other substance addiction or abuse;3.1.9 the provision of recreational facilities and activities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for those persons in need of such facilities by reason of their youth age infirmity or disablement poverty or social and economic circumstances by promoting their spiritual mental physical and social well-being;3.1.10 to promote encourage or undertake organised research surveys investigations and publish the useful results thereof; and3.1.11 the advancement of such other charitable objects for the public benefit as the board of trustees may from time to time think fit."
