Objects:

in or towards the repair, upkeep and beautification of the almshouse chapel and contents thereof and the maintenance of the services in that chapel. trustees shall apply the income as follows: (1) in or towards the repair, upkeep and beautification of the chapel belonging to woodbridge school at woodbridge and the contents thereof and the maintenance of the services therein. (2) in or towards the cost of making improvements in the above-mentioned chapel. the special object of the public secondary school for boys of the said foundation known as woodbrige school. governors may apply all or any part or parts of the hospital endowment of the fund in or towards the extraordinary repair improvements or rebuilding of the buildings of the charity. income of fund for the maintenance repair and improvement of the hospital and almshouses and other buildings or otherwise for the benefit of the almspeople as governors think fit. (a) the relief of charitable needs arising as a result of age, financial hardship, ill-health, disability or otherwise as the trustee thinks fit and particularly by the provision of almshouses for the residence of persons (or married couples) who are not less than fifty years of age and who reside within the area of benefit; save that the trustee may, in exceptional circumstances, appoint a resident who lives outside the area of benefit but is otherwise qualified. the trustee must record the exceptional circumstances in the minutes. the number of residents appointed under this sub-clause must not exceed one-third of the number of residents at any one time;(b) the advancement of education (including academic and vocational education) as the trustee thinks fit and particularly by the provision and conduct at woodbridge of a day school or a boarding school for the education of boys and girls in accordance with the tradition and values of the church of england and by ancillary or incidental educational activities and other associated activities for the benefit of the community, and the protection of the environment, the provision of scholarships, bursaries and grants, and payments to clerkenwell parochial church of england school and other church of england schools;(c) the maintenance of services of worship in accordance with the traditions and values of the church of england in the almshouse chapel and the school chapel of the charity; and(d) the care and upbringing of children and young people for the benefit of the public particularly by the provision of specialist advice and counselling to families and individuals, the provision of facilities and services including care centres, and the making of grants. (i) advance the education of parents in care and upbringing of children(ii) provide and promote the education of children under five years of age (iii) protect and preserve the health of parents and children by the provision of specialist and individual counselling. to award a prize to a student of the school who shows particular promise as a linguist. awarding prizes to boys in the secondary school to provide an annual mathematics prize. to award a prize to a student of the school to be chosen by the headmaster. the objects for which the charity is established are:3.1 the relief of charitable needs arising as a result of age, financial hardship, ill-health, disability or otherwise as the governors think fit and particularly by the provision of almshouses for the residence of persons (or married couples) who are not less than fifty years of age and who reside within the area of benefit save that the governors may, in exceptional circumstances, make provision for persons outside the area of benefit provided that the number of such persons does not exceed one third of the total number of persons benefiting at any one time; 3.2 the advancement of education (including academic, and vocational education) as the governors think fit and particularly by the provision and conduct at woodbridge of a day school or a boarding school for the education of boys and girls in accordance with the tradition and values of the church of england and by ancillary or incidental educational activities and other associated activities for the benefit of the community, and the protection of the environment, the provision of scholarships, bursaries and grants, and payments to clerkenwell parochial church of england school and other church of england schools;3.3 the maintenance of services of worship in accordance with the traditions and values of the church of england in the almshouse chapel and the school chapel of the charity; and 3.4 the care and upbringing of children and young people for the benefit of the public particularly by the provision of specialist advice and counselling to families and individuals, the provision of facilities and services including care centres, and the making of grants.
