2.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trustto apply the income, and all or such part or parts of the capital, at such timeor times and in such manner to or for the benefit of such of the followingcharitable objects and purposes in any part of the united kingdom as thetrustees may in their discretion think fit.(a) providing assistance and support for charities and charitable purposes connected with animals (b) providing assistance and support for charities and charitable purposes connected with rescuers at sea and seafarers (c) providing assistance and support for charities and charitable purposes connected with the cultivation of medicine and surgery (d) providing assistance and support to charities and charitable purposes connected with churches in merseysideor such other charitable objects as the trustees may in their absolutediscretion think fit2.2 the trustees may in their discretion, for the period of 21 years from thedate of my death, instead of applying the income of the charity in any year,accumulate all or any part of such income at compound interest by investing thesame, and the resulting income, in any authorised investments and hold the same asan accretion to and as part of the capital of the charity, without prejudice to theirright to apply the whole or any part of such accumulated income in any subsequentyear as if the same were income of the charity arising in the then current year.
