(1) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit by associatingtogether the local inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and otherorganisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilitiesin the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation withthe object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants withoutdistinction of race, sex, political, religious and other opinion.(2) to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of children andyoung people, particularly those who are disadvantaged.(3) to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to manageand maintain the same and to do all such things as are usually carried out insuch a centre in furtherance of these aims.(4) to advance the christian faith in accordance with the principles espoused by thewest street chapel in swadlincote, derbyshire and in particular west street andmarket street (area of benefit) and other such purposes which are exclusivelycharitable according to the law of england and wales and are connected withthe charitable work of the charity.
