3.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trust to apply the income, and all or such part or parts of the capital, at such times, in such manner, as the trustees may in their discretion think fit for or towards the advancement of health and prevention and relief of poverty and in particular by 3.1.1 providing eye care to people suffering from eye disease in africa3.1.2 the study of the causes and the search for ways to reduce blindness in africa.3.1.3 the provision of equipment and consumables for the relief of blindness and refractive errors and the cure of eye disease3.1.4 collaborating with other non-governmental organisations in organising ophthalmic surgical and medical campaigns3.1.5 raising awareness of the issues of eye care in africa3.1.6 any other activity that contributes to improving the quality of life of the blind in africa.
